If you had enough money to have your own airline..

Lensin eilen Viiniin ja siellä oli paljon entisen Formula kuskin Niki Laudan lentokoneita. Hänellä on oma lentoyhtiö nimeltään FlyNiki. Mietin vaan, että kuinka paljon rahaa tarvitsisi, jos haluaisi perustaa oman lentoyhtiön. Tiedän että pieni matkustajalentokone ATR 72-600 maksaisi noin 20 miljoonaa euroa. Vaikka voittaisit lotossa, et saisi ostettua edes yhtä konetta. Lisäksi ilmailu business on melko riskialtista hommaa. Mitä jos tapahtuu onnettomuus?

I flew to Vienna yesterday and there where a lot of planes by Niki Lauda, a former F1 driver. He’s got his own airline FlyNiki. I just wonder how much money you must have to have an airline. I know that a small ATR 72-600 aircraft would be about 20 million euros. Even winning in a lottery doesn’t help you much to have even one aircraft. In addition, it is a quite risky business. What if one of your aircrafts crash?
