Entering the beautiful old town

Enpä olisi ikupäivänä uskonut joku päivä suosittelevani Rodosta hyväksi matkakohteeksi. Paljon matkustaneena ja maailmaa nähneenä tämä voi kuulostaa oudolta. Varmasti moni muukin luulee, että Rodos on pelkkää hotellia ja turistia. Toki sitäkin löytyy, mutta pakko myöntää olleeni väärässä ennakkoluuloineni. Rodos on hyvä kohde jos etsit:

• Kauniita rantoja
• Puhdasta merivettä
• Hyvää ruokaa
• Kaunista sekoitusta eri maailmoiden arkkitehtuuria upeassa vanhassa kaupungissa
• Perus turistielämää, jos sitä kaipaat
• Paikallista elämää turistikatujen takana
• Hyvää yöelämää, mutta miksi turistit eivät löytäneet vanhan kaupungin mahtavaa paikallista menoa!?
• Upea ilma! Voisin melkein sanoa, että kohteelle voisi luvata aurinkotakuun.

..I would have thought to recommend Rhodes, Greece for your holiday. I always thought the island is full of hotels and nothing else. I was wrong. There is more to this island. And I’ve travelled quite much in my life. You’ll love Rhodes, if you’re looking for:

• Beautiful beaches
• Clean waters
• Good food
• Impressive old town and interesting mix of historical which can be seen in architecture
• Basic tourist life, if you really need it
• Local life “behind the scenes”
• Good night life, but why the tourists didn’t find their way to those great local bars and clubs in the old town
• Great weather.. I could almost say guaranteed sun!
